Young at Art® is a philosophy that I have developed and refined over forty years as an Art Educator, School Administrator, and
author. After twenty years of teaching art and writing books about children's art I founded Young at Art®
in 1984 as a private art school on the upper west side of New York City. That business has grown to include a series of books, scores of curricula, teacher training programs, and establishment of a flagship studio in a historic
barn in Fairfield, Connecticut for art classes and birthday parties.
My dream throughout has been to bring this program to as many children as possible. If you have read one of my books and felt drawn to it's
message, and you share my passion for nurturing creativity in young children, you may want to consider joining the Young at Art® family. Together we can empower young children by helping them
find their own individuality. We help children find the joy that art can give them as it stimulates critical thinking skills, promotes independent thinking and promotes creativity.
As Albert Einstein said: Imagination is more important than knowledge.

Art Classes
At
Young at Art we believe that children’s art is not a frill, not merely charming, but the very foundation upon which later reading, writing and drawing are built. The early experiences
children have while they are creating art have a profound impact on their approach to learning later on. Creative activity keeps the spark of curiosity alive!
From age appropriate art, children can learn how to think critically, solve problems and express themselves. For a list of available classes, click here.
The Young at Art® Studio Licensing
Young at Art® is launching a national licensing program. Now is a
