Susan Striker has received the highly competitive 2008 Connecticut Art Education Association Award, Outstanding Elementary Art Educator, for significant contributions to the field of art education. The CAEA
awards will be presented on the evening of Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. The event, which begins at 6:00 PM, includes buffet dinner, open museum galleries, and the awards

March, 2004 Author of the Month Susan Striker will be featured as the Author of the Month in Teaching k-8 in March 2004. March is National Youth Art Month, and the magazine will tie the feature in to a
focus on children's art. Teaching k-8 is a National magazine written for elementary school teachers.
