At Young at Art's Grand Opening party in the Art Barn on Lantern Hill in Fairfield, children enjoyed creating art projects under the supervision of the staff, enjoyed play time on the expansive lawn and ate snacks. Charicaturist Laurie Edmonds did sketches of the children and folk singer Lou Gallo of Imagination Workshop sang stories (yes stories!)In keeping with the Young at Art philosophy of always beginning art projects with  reading a story, Lou wrote songs to the words of some of every child's favorite books. A fun day was had by all.
